Signal-driven outreach
The outreach engine behind a company acquisition

Robert Buhler ran Decree Stationery in Raleigh, North Carolina. His growth came from reaching the right people at the right moment. I built a system that watches his network for those moments and turns each one into a personal, printed note. It became the engine behind his move into a major stake in Crane Stationery, where he is now CEO.
The problem
Robert's best business came from relationships. But nobody can track hundreds of contacts by hand. Promotions, job changes and company moves slipped past. So did the right moments to send a note.
What I built
- 1
A monitor that watches his LinkedIn network for signals. Promotions, job changes, company moves.
- 2
Research on each signal, so every message has real context.
- 3
Outreach through his own ERP. Personal printed notes go to the contact's office or home.
The result
- 40% more lifetime value per customer.
- 300–400% return on the investment.
- A VC fund liked the approach. The system backed Robert's move into Crane Stationery.
