AI strategy consultant

An AI strategy consultant finds where AI saves your company the most time or money, and ranks what to do first. I do that in a 2-week Assessment for $2,500. Then I build the top items with your team, so the strategy ends in tools your people use, not a roadmap on a shelf.

Starts with a 2-week Assessment. Retainer from $5K/month.

What the strategy step gives you

The Assessment is my AI strategy step. In two weeks, you know where AI pays off in your company.

The plan is yours to keep, whatever you decide next.

Tools and data
A map of every tool your team uses, where your data lives, and which tools don't talk to each other.
Opportunities
A ranked list, biggest payoff first, with the effort and the risk of each one.
Quick wins
Small changes your team can start alone, with no build from me.
3-month plan
What to build first, second and third.
Running costs
An estimate of AI usage, software and hosting, before you commit to anything.
Not yet
The work that isn't worth handing to AI yet, with the reason. I won't build something nobody uses.

How I run the Assessment

I listen more than I talk. I ask how the work really happens, not the ideal version.

  1. 01

I talk to the people who do the work.

They walk me through their most common task, step by step. I note what data they touch, where it comes from, and what they copy from one system to another.

  2. 02

I map your tools and data.

Every app you use daily, and who uses it. I also ask who uses ChatGPT or Claude in a personal account. That shows tools you pay for twice, and data that leaves your accounts.

  3. 03

I ask what to hand off first.

If you had an assistant starting Monday, what would you give them first?

  4. 04

I rank each idea by payoff and effort.

A big payoff for little effort goes first. A lot of effort for a small payoff, I tell you not to build.

  5. 05

I check the risks of each idea.

What a wrong answer costs, whether the data is clean enough, whether the team will use it, whether it touches private data, and whether the AI costs hold at full use. One high risk, and it isn't a quick win.

  6. 06

    We check the list together.

I play back the map and ask where I got your work wrong. Then we reorder the list by what would change your week most.

A strategy-only firm, or a strategy that gets built

A roadmap on its own changes nothing. Someone has to build the first item, and someone on your team has to run it. That is why I build as much as I advise.

Some strategy firms also build, as a separate project. I sell this service, so read the comparison with that in mind.

What happens after the plan

If you want me to build it, the retainer starts. Every week I work with your team on one of your real processes. Every month I build the next item on the ranked list: AI agents, automations and internal tools, in your own accounts.

One person on your team becomes your AI champion and learns to run what we build. From the first week, the goal is that your team runs it without me. That is the work of an AI implementation consultant, done by the person who wrote the plan.

The retainer starts at $5K a month, with a 3-month minimum, then 30 days' notice. You pay AI usage and software in your own accounts.

The retainer is the role some people call a fractional Chief AI Officer. For how that compares with a full-time hire, read what a Chief AI Officer costs.

Questions

What does an AI strategy consultant do?

They study how your company works, find where AI saves the most time or money, and write a ranked plan. Some stop at the plan. I also build it with your team and train someone to run it.

How much does AI strategy consulting cost?

Strategy firms usually charge per project. My strategy step is a 2-week Assessment for $2,500, with money back if you ask within 7 days of delivery. The build work after it is a retainer from $5K/month.

What do I get at the end of the Assessment?

A map of your tools and data, ranked opportunities, quick wins, a 3-month plan and an estimate of running costs. You also learn which work isn't worth handing to AI yet.

Do I have to hire you to build the plan?

No. The plan is yours to keep, whatever you decide next. If the retainer starts within 30 days, the $2,500 counts toward your first month.

Do your AI consulting services include building?

Yes. After the Assessment, I build AI agents, automations and internal tools from the plan, in your own accounts. You own everything from day one.

Our data is a mess. Can we still start?

Yes. It's normal. The Assessment maps what you have and ranks the work that fits it. Data cleanup is often part of the first builds.

Who is this for?

Owner-led companies with 10 to 200 staff that have repeated work worth speeding up, and nobody with time to own AI. You need one person on the team who wants to learn.
